Broken pieces of a shattered

Broken pieces of a shattered life

By :James Linders

Because Adam DISOBEYED his creator in the Garden of Eden almost 6000 ago, the world was cursed by God and our eyes are blindfolded by its initiator, the devil. Satan convinces man by deception that sin is MORE rewarding than the long-term promise of an eternal life. Whenever we want to live a righteous and holy life, our defenses and intentions are weakened by the trapdoor of a sinful nature. We become addicted to the affliction of sin, EVEN to the extent of spiritual suicide. In Romans 7: 18-20 the apostle Paul makes this remark: “I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh; for I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For I do not do the good I want to do. Instead, I keep on doing the evil I do not want to do. And if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.…”

It’s THIS trapdoor of a sinful nature that separates us from the love of God. In Isaiah 59:2 the prophet makes THIS statement: “But your iniquities have separated

you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you so that he will not hear.” Sin is the STRONGHOLD of Satan. He flourishes in the domain of filth and darkness and rewards his followers with half-truths, lies, cheating, suffering, and curse.
His promises are the cobweb with which he attracts deceived sinners. Once caught in his web, our spiritual relationship with God is drained to the extent where right becomes wrong and wrong becomes right. Life becomes a misery from which we can NOT escape in our OWN strength. Our ONLY salvation is to reach out and TOUCH the Lord; allow GOD to PULL us from the swamps of hell and self-destruction He picks up the shattered pieces of our lives, after the devil has pushed us over the cliff of spiritual destruction, and patiently put them back together ….restore our lives and gives it meaning, purpose and direction again. God loves us SO much that He gave His ONLY son Y’shua (Jesus) to die in OUR place so that WE could be saved from Satan’s clutches. God does NOT rejoice in OUR pain and suffering OR turns His back on us. In fact, He patiently refurbishes our unworthy, condemned, useless, sin-stained and broken lives and starts ALL over again to fashion us in HIS image. Unlike Satan, He does NOT rejoice in our suffering OR turns His back on the crown jewel of His creation….man. He has plans to prosper us and NOT to harm us; plans to give us HOPE and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). His grace is SO hungry to save us from eternal condemnation that He refuses to give up on us. He is a merciful God who loves us UNCONDITIONALLY, even when we DESERVE to be rejected and left to our fate
